Upcoming Fun Events
Hello out there and welcome to our new page...
Here are two events we are organizing open to all in our extended eco-torah networks.
Our friend Freya Bass, a green building expert, is busy working with an Israeli midrasha for teenagers in builiding Cobb dorms for the students. We want to send a work crew out to join in- no prior experience is necessary- just some clothes to get dirty in and an RSVP. We are hoping to get out there in the next two weeks, so please call the Yeshiva and leave your phone number so we can put together the outing.
Hike and Medicinal/Edibles WOrkshop in Emek haEla. Come join hike through the most flowering place and the most colorful time and find out what we can harvest from under our feet. Baruch Shapiro will escort us through his backyard and the precious beauty of the Israeli Spring. We will bus out there together from the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem for a morning hike into afternoon workshop. Thursday March 27, the 20th of Adar Bet. Call the yeshiva to RSVP and leave your name number. Cost will be 40 shekel plus bus fare. Bring your friends, some water and a sun hat.

Shalom and Welcome!!!
The EABM is based in Nachlaot, an exciting neighborhood next to the open market in the center of Jerusalem. Three mornings a week we are in Yeshivat Simchat Shlomo’s Beit Midrash, creatively engaging the tradition — from Torah and gemara through halachah and chassidut. During this time, there is also an option to intern with local environmental organizations. Afternoons are spent with our rotating staff of teachers who facilitate a meeting between the text of our tradition and the problems of today’s environment. These classes are designed for students of all backgrounds. Texts are all provided in both original Hebrew and English. No prior learning experience is required.
